Poll: America’s Confidence in Congress Falls to Record Low

A new Gallup poll shows that just 10% of Americans have confidence in Congress, the lowest among any institution since 1973.

Here’s some bleak political news: Gallup today released a poll showing that just 10% of Americans have confidence in their representatives in Congress. It is the lowest level Gallup has measured for any institution since 1973. Newspapers and television news don’t fare too well either, with only 23% of those polled expressing faith in these media outlets. The poll was conducted June 1-4, 2013, with a random sample of 1,529 adults, aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. Check out the poll for yourself below.
