Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton joined Twitter Monday, with an account in her name popping up on the ubiquitous microblogging site.
Her first two followers: President Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea Clinton. Hillary Clinton follows both accounts, as well as the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative. Her absence from the site, which has become a vital forum of political discussion and news, had been extensively noted.
In her Twitter biography, the potential 2016 presidential candidate describes herself as: “Wife, mom, lawyer, women & kids advocate, FLOAR, FLOTUS, US Senator, SecState, author, dog owner, hair icon, pantsuit aficionado, glass ceiling cracker, TBD…”
Her profile picture is a TIME photo by Diana Walker of the then Secretary of State checking her BlackBerry aboard a military C-17, on her way to meet with Libyan rebel leaders in Tripoli. The photo was made famous by the Tumblr page Texts From Hillary.

Bill Clinton welcomed his wife to Twitter:
