Who is Barbara Buono? She’s the New Jersey state senator who has the difficult task of running for governor against “The Boss,” current Gov. Chris Christie. She’s down 32 points, and 78% of potential voters claim to not know enough about her to form an opinion, according to a Quinnipiac poll released last month. Bloomberg News reports that Buono is so low on campaign funds that her ads can only be seen online. The situation is, so to say, non buono. But she has come up with a clever way to get you to remember her, releasing an ad yesterday using her last name (pronounced the Italian way BUO-no) five times. Check out the new ad, in which she compares herself to U2’s Bono, Sonny Bono, and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, above.
