TIME and Foursquare will partner exclusively for the 2012 political conventions. By following TIME on Foursquare, attendees of both the Republican National Convention in Tampa on Aug. 27-30 and the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte from Sept. 3-5 will be able to unlock the unique TIME-Foursquare badges upon check-in at the conventions and surrounding events. Attendees will have access to a curated list of must-attend venues and events, as well as convention tips from TIME’s expert political reporting team.
In addition, TIME.com will broadcast updates from reporters, newsmakers and VIPs as they check-in on Foursquare as well as a visualization of convention activity, so political junkies not attending the conventions can stay current on all the on-the-ground action.
