Bill de Blasio is really raking ’em in.
Bill and Hillary Clinton announced Wednesday that they are endorsing the Democratic candidate’s campaign for NYC Mayor, said the New York Times. The endorsement comes two days after NY Governor Andrew Cuomo also backed de Blasio.
But the Clintons didn’t exactly wax poetic about the popular liberal candidate. “Bill de Blasio has been a friend to both President Clinton and Secretary Clinton for many years,” their statement read. “They were proud to see him run a thoughtful, creative campaign about the issues, and they are behind him as he moves on to the general election.”
De Blasio was campaign manager of Hillary Clinton’s successful 2000 senate run.
