Bruce Springsteen joined Jimmy Fallon on Late Night Tuesday to take a musical dig at the traffic scandal buffeting New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Springsteen and Fallon, both dressed in sleeveless denim shirts and red bandanas, sang about being stuck for hours on the George Washington Bridge in a parody of Springsteen’s “Born to Run.” Christie is a professed Springsteen fan.
“Maybe this Bridgegate was just payback, it’s a bitch-slap to the state Democrats. We gotta get out but we can’t, we’re stuck in Governor Chris Christie’s Fort Lee New Jersey traffic jam,” sang Fallon before Springsteen joined in.
