Two leading members of the House Intelligence Committee say a classified Pentagon report found that Edward Snowden’s leaks have let terrorists discover U.S. military tactics, and put troops in danger.

Republican committee chairman Rep. Mike Rogers and ranking Democrat Rep. C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger said the report found that most of Edward Snowden’s leaks of National Security Agency documents pertained to ongoing military operations. “Snowden handed terrorists a copy of our country’s playbook and now we are paying the price, which this report confirms,” said Ruppersberger, in a statement.

According to the classified Defense Intelligence Agency report, the documents Snowden took include 1.7 million files that “concern vital operations of the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force,” the two lawmakers say. The report apparently claims the leaks have already helped U.S. enemies and hurt allies working on counter-terrorism, cybercrime, trafficking and WMD non-proliferation, the Associated Press reports. The lawmakers did not cite any specific examples.
