After a crushing defeat at the polls on Tuesday, an unexpected guest crashed Anthony Weiner’s election night party in midtown Manhattan. Sydney Leathers showed up in an attempt to meet the man she once only knew as Carlos Danger. Earlier this summer, Leathers made international headlines after going public that the former Congressman was again “sexting” anonymous women. The revelation proved fatal for the 49-year-old’s mayoral campaign, as he was the frontrunner in the polls at the time.

When asked by reporters why she had tried to crash the glitzy event, Leathers said that she felt it was her “obligation” and noted that she’ll “only be 23 once.” Weiner finished fifth in Tuesday’s contest with just under 5% of the vote.
