Australia got itself a new prime minister last month, Kevin Michael Rudd, after a shakeup in the governing Labor Party. That sets up a new campaign for elections in September in which Rudd will have to run for prime minister against Tony Abbott of the Liberal-National coalition. The upside of all of this is the potential for lots more viciously brilliant attack ads like the ones posted last week by the Liberal Party savaging Rudd.
