Ari Emanuel is the poster boy for flashy Hollywood types with deep pockets and even deeper Democratic ties. One older brother, Rahm, served as President Obama’s first chief of staff before leaving to become Chicago’s mayor. The other, Zeke, advised the President on health care in the Office of Management and Budget. Emanuel has donated a lot to Democratic groups and candidates over the years, but the bombastic super agent’s greatest asset might be how well he knows the swanky boulevards and boardrooms of Hollywood. As a “bundler” in 2008, he raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Obama’s presidential bid and is a top donor for the Obama’s re-election campaign, pledging to raise between $100,000 and $200,000.
