Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, who is exploring a bid for the Republican nomination, told S.E. Cupp, who hosts an online radio show on Glenn Beck’s website, that Sarah Palin is skipping CPAC because of her “business opportunities” and “other responsibilities” such as raising her five children.
“I don’t live in Alaska and I’m not the mother to all these kids and I don’t have other responsibilities that she has,” said Santorum. I’m sure Santorum’s wife and seven children at home in Pennsylvania Virginia* really appreciate his approach to parenting.
*Thanks to commentator Ivy_B for pointing out that Santorum’s family actually lives in Virginia — a contributing factor to the loss of his Senate seat in Pennsylvania.
Update:
Palin responded on Fox News last night. “I will not call him the knuckle-dragging Neanderthal,” she said of Santorum, but she suggested others — like “his wife” — might want to instead.
