  • Dave Camp on how to fix the tax code: “The last time the U.S. enacted a comprehensive tax reform was 1986. But many of America’s major competitors have been actively reforming their tax laws in recent years. Even our closest neighbors are getting ahead of us. • “From a list of five high profile Republican Party leaders, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul capture the most interest among self-identified Republicans; 41 percent of Republicans say they would like to see Bush run  (27 percent say no to a Bush bid) while 39 percent say yes to a Paul candidacy (21 percent say no).” [CBS News]

Looks like Brewer vetoed the bill.  The Rosa Parks moment for LBGT's continues...

Looks like the Cruz missile want to implode GOP

I'm guessing he's going to do it with his superior sucking.

Time for an extended nap before work. Goodnight folks. Starting tomorrow, I'll be around in the mornings.

Really OT, but I love the extras on dvds. I've been watching all of the LOTRs (blu-ray) and watching the extras too. There are just hours and hours of extras.

OT, but tonight is my 7th and last midnight. Snow flurries and a windchill of 5 below. I truly am sick of winter this year.

@fitty_three

Only because she had to due to political fallout.  I'm sure she would have loved to sign that bill into law.

@fitty_three

It only took a few days and a lot of bright lights. Absent those I regret to say the signing would be assured.

@Pollopa

I say it's too bad the business big boys scared Brewer into doing the right thing.

P.S. Seattle was sunny and mild on Super Bowl Sunday this year.

Make it happen.

@Pollopa  Another reason why it should've taken Brewer thislong to veto that thing.

@sacredh ...and I won't, at least until Tuesday.  Make sure fitty does the morning greeting.

@sacredh I still watch the extended versions on DVD, upscaled on my BR player.

@sacredh That's why I don't watch movies much.  Too many extras.  The kids watched Despicable ME 2 and I got sucked in to the extras.

@sacredh  How are the LotR blurays? I've heard the quality isn't that great because they were rushed out.

I've heard of playing to your base but this schmo is too much.  I mean every time he opens his mouth he digs a hole for his re-election chances.  Did he think for a second that Hispanics would fawn over him since he picked one to be lieutenant governor?  And that ain't enough Lurch could be on the verge of yet another disasterous appointment?

@Sue_N, here's how crazy our house is. This afternoon when I woke up and went upstairs, the first thing my wife asked me was "Did you drug my mom before you went to bed this morning? She slept till noon". This place is a zoo. And no, I didn't.

@Sue_N @sacredh

They screwed up the coloring so it has a very slight green tint, but you wouldn't notice it otherwise unless you saw a comparison video.

@Sue_N, I've got the 3D blu-ray of the first Hobbit installment and it's just amazing.

@Sue_N, if anything, they were too clear and sharp.

@Sue_N, in my defense, I'm a good bit older than you and set in my ways. Get off of my lawn!!

@sacredh @Sue_N  Hobbit is phenomenal. As much as I gripe and moan about PJ adding all that extra stuff, I do love the movies.

@Sue_N, Wal-Mart had all three LOTRs movies on 1 blu-ray dvd for $10 (or less, I'm not sure. I may have bought it as a special buy for $7).

@sacredh @Sue_N  Good Lord, now I'm considering buying another version of LotR. *sigh*

But, yeah, we always watch the extras. That's one of the things that finally got us into bluray – studios are putting all the good stuff on those discs and skimping on the "regular" DVDs.
