*ugh*

I'm struggling through Ken Ham's presentation during that debate.  I'm finding I can't listen for more than 5 minutes before I get ticked off.

'Swear to goodness I saw Handy/Rusty send a post one minute ago and 0.48 seconds later it disappeared.

What

You don't find dah scripture a compelling answer when Nye said I don't know? It's science

Ditto. I found myself skipping through a lot of his parts.

I doubt I missed much. If you've heard one creationist talking point you've heard them all. Often literally.

I thought West Virginia was the only place with colored undrinkable water (never mind the water in fracking areas that catches fire). At least WV has snow right now, and it's in our same time zone so TV coverage would be live. West Virginia hosting the Games? Why not? Lilliehammer did, and did it well.

@ahandout @MrObvious

And that's all that counts - how they vote, right?

Not whether it's a good or bad thing - just who they're gonna vote for.

Disgusting.

I find his slipping into Moralism particularly offensive - he's basically taking the idea that Creationism is Science and using it to justify moral and legal theocracy - and then claiming religious freedom.

Ugh

@Irony

I refuse to skip it for the sole purpose of being able to say that "yes, I have heard your argument".  But I can't shout at him since I'm at work so it's a half hour during which no one is refuting his BS.

Darn that Obama for building LaGuardia!

I can't imagine what it's like living with nothing but hatred to sustain you, Handy.  You must be a miserable person.

Now you've moved the goalposts twice.  What's your argument?  It won't hurt the Republicans in elections to not pass it?  That passing it will add 11 million Democrat votes?  Or that it's bad for the economy (even though you are now quoting 11 million when it was 12 when Obama got into office so your argument seems rather ridiculous when we consider that there are effectively a million fewer illegal immigrants competing for jobs with Americans in the last 4 years)

@forgottenlord @ahandout  Sure, it's a great idea.  Let's import millions of people who break the law, are uneducated, poor, laborers into our nation, with an economony that is shedding jobs.

Meanwhile, the clown in the White House constantly lectures about "fairness."

How is that fair to the legal immigrants who stood in line and obeyed the law?

We already had immigration reform once.  It was not enforced, it won't be enforced this time either.  Move along.

@ahandout

Latinos tend to be more socially conservative, fiscally conservative and hail from and believe in societies with smaller safety nets.  They're a pretty freaking good demographic for Republicans to milk if they could stop being racist nativists (yea, yea, I repeat myself)

@forgottenlord @ahandoutNo kidding.  And so Republicans should do what?  Give them amnesty again and sign up 11 million Democratic voters?  I don't think so.

@forgottenlord @Irony

Yeah, but around the dozenth time you've heard the exact same argument verbatim (seriously, I didn't know you could verbally copy/paste until I talked to creationists) it kind of wears on you.

Nice try, but that one was for race baiting in two ways.
