Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton speaks during the Women in Public Service Project leadership symposium at Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pa, on July 9, 2013.

Barbara Walters ticked down her list of “10 Most Fascinating People of 2013” on Wednesday night’s TV special, unveiling Hillary Clinton as the most fascinating of all.

Runners up included Edward Snowden, the royal baby, Miley Cyrus and an exotic two-headed figure known as “Kimye” (short for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West). Clinton topped the list amid widespread speculation of a presidential run in 2016. “It’s such a difficult decision,” Clinton told Walters during the interview, “and it’s one that I’m not going to rush into.” She predicted she will make a decision by “sometime next year.”

Bill Clinton laughed when Walters asked what a presidential win would make him. “First mate,” he suggested. “I don’t know.”
