While she’s renounced her citizenship, I’ll bet she’s not renouncing any of the monies she made over in the good ole U.S. of A.

I’m sure she’s paid her taxes, yet my guess is that her U.S.-earned income & investments (capital gains & income) will be taxed a lot less in Switzerland than in the States.

There is no one on the list of any real importance, and I think it omits Lee Harvey Oswald.

@Mickiee Tina made money because of her talents, not because of her citizenship and she lives in Switzerland because of love, not because of your greed for her money.

@Openminded1 @falcon269 How about some Veterans who have actually made a sacrifice for their country? I doubt that you find a long list of them renouncing their country. Good riddance to bad rubbish, I say. They can all join Gerard Depardieu and his failed career in Russia. What a French patriot, that man.

@Openminded1 @falcon269 Yeah, the dead ones left decades ago. Brynner died almost 30 YEARS ago.  Huston died in 1989.  Do you think they left to protest high American taxes?  Guess Bush and Reagan's tax policies didn't appeal to them.

Maria Callas died in 1977!

Most of the others on this list died probably before you were born, or left decades ago rendering any connection to today's world a fantasy at BEST.

I mean, how far back in history do you have to go before it FINALLY becomes utterly irrelevant with respect to any current political status?  Or were you just being your trollish self and insulting people because they didn't give a crap about a bunch of people who haven't even been in the country (or taken a breath) since the middle half of the last century or before?

Just asking there.

@falcon269 @Openminded1 I'm an Veteran and I renounced US citizenshp in response to national origin discrimination caused by US policy and the failure of individuals like you to stand up for and to defend your fellow citizens living abroad.  Americans living abroad have no representation, are frequently condemned by the likes of you and thus they have no choice other than to vote with their feet.  So, the problem is not the expats who are renouncing, but rather how you have been voting.

@falcon269 @Openminded1 Moron I am one of those veterans, I am a Vietnam vet i would never denounce my country, Tina did it for different reasons, of which I do not care That is her business. The Hollywood crowd of ass holes due it because of taxes in most cases.
