US Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney (L) speaks with the Reverend Billy Graham (C) and his son Franklin (R) during a visit to the Graham's Cabin in Montreat, North Carolina, on October 11, 2012.

The birthday bash for Reverend Billy Graham kicked off with a call for restraint. “We’re going to have a short evening,” his son said. “Daddy’s 95.”

It took two hours for roughly 900 guests to celebrate, serenade and heap praise on Graham in the ballroom of a North Carolina hotel.

Fox News reports that Donald Trump and Sarah Palin sat on either side of the birthday boy, and Kathie Lee Gifford sang to him on stage. “Billy Graham, we need you around another 95 years,” Palin said.

It may have been Billy Graham's birthday, but the party was Franklin's.  The father's general popularity and respect is derived from avoiding extremist christian alignment and adhering to a nonpolitical message.  Franklin does the opposite.  He is heir to the legacy, but has proceeded to destroy it and align with the right wing.

“Billy Graham, we need you around another 95 years,” Palin said.

He looks really bad now. He wouldn't even need makeup to guest on "Walking Dead". 95 years from now?

"Donald Trump and Sarah Palin sat on either side of the birthday boy, and Kathie Lee Gifford"

Clowns at birthday parties always creeped me out.
