More than 330,000 applicants for government health insurance have been able to find out how much financial assistance they will receive in purchasing a private insurance plan, according to IRS numbers provided to the Health and Human Services website Saturday.

Consumers receive that information after filing an application, which the administration said Friday numbered nearly 700,000 for both federal and state insurance exchanges.

The White House has said that it will not release the number of people who actually enroll in the health-law programs until next month.
