OT, but the Nets signed Kirelenko to a 2 year contract at 3.2 million per year. He opted out of his Timberwolves contract that had 1 year left at over 10 million. Say what? He said he wanted longer term security. The guy that owns the Nets is a Russian multi-billionaire. This stinks to high heaven.

Some talking head on CNN called George Zimmerman a "White Hispanic", does that mean that Barack Obama is actually a Black White American? Seriously, could they be anymore of a race baiter?

I see desperate GOP types.  Trying to bring back the hate like it was two-thousand-eight.

I'm sure it will work.

After all, third time's a charm, right?

Turkey’s Prime Minister Uses a Racially-Loaded Slur about Black People to Insult Political Rival

President Barack Obama has in the past described Turkey’s Islamist prime minister as one of five world leaders with whom he feels especially close. He told CNN in January 2012, “I mean, I think that if you ask them — Angela Merkel, or Prime Minister Singh, or President Lee, or Prime Minister Erdogan, or David Cameron would say, we have a lot of trust and confidence in the president.”

The last time I checked, the Nets also had Brooks Lopez on the roster, and he's a beast. You're right, something smells.

I haven't seen it yet, but it looks good. I did catch World War Z, and Oblivion. I like them both..

Don't bother going to see the 3D version. My son went to see it in 3D and said our 3D tv craps all over the theater 3D. I went to see the regular versionand thought it was great. The death toll was horrendous though. Even Michael Bay wouldn't dare kill so many people in a movie.

No, I have always thought that our high corporate tax rate only added motivation to skimming the tax laws. I would argue that our country should be the biggest tax haven on the planet, only if the idiots in Washington would get their heads out of their butts. It's kinda like Prohibition, when the government does something stupid, there's always a mobster to take advantage of the stupidity.

That's why I'm a libertarian, I like to think for myself

I'm not saying you're not, but you're a tad on the ignorant partisan side. Seems you stack what you believe against 'liberals' cause you use an awful alot of talking points.

As far Obamacare, it was never the ideal legislation - it's a for profit scheme for private insurance companies. It has an okay foundation but I rather see a universal system. It's not that bad - our health should never be a for profit scheme anyways for predatory insurance and healthcare providers.

If I had meant Obamacare, the link would have discussed Onamacare.

That's why I'm a libertarian, I like to think for myself, and no one is the boss of me. My only problem with "true believers" is that you guys seem to sell whatever the president is selling. Just like repubs do with their party platforms, ugh..Jesus this, Jesus that..

I like to think of myself as a social moderate/fiscal conservative.

I only want what is fair.. I can agree to that, but giving big business a break on this is not fair. They should put this off for another year for everyone. Actually, I think they should put the whole thing in the dumpster, and start over.

Don't you find it a little odd that 2 of the biggest companies that support Obama are also 2 of the biggest tax cheats? Google and General Electric.

And they got no support for their tax cheating under Bush - methinks you're a tad partisan.

not whichever way MSNBC is telling me to think.

I doubt there are many here that watch it. Your idea of 'libruls' are wonky - you have more in common with all of us then you do with the trolls. As long as you skip the lazy buzz words you'll see that we both want the same thing.

You can't see the forest from the trees. Of course I want Corporations to pay their far share. Our tax system is so corrupt that companies like Amazon, Microsoft, General Electric hide their profits overseas, and thus skim the system, meanwhile they take government contracts that "WE" pay for, and laugh all the way to the Cayman Island Banks. That's why I find it criminal that the Obama Administration would give these companies another year to trim their payroll, and find ways around from paying, thus putting more burden on the individual and families.

And not having the ability to get health insurance doesn't? Seems you argue for universal healthcare.

What? That would be you selling out your ideology to cover for big business. Mine is in tact, and I stand on principle, not whichever way MSNBC is telling me to think.

Right, I'm for a free market that is fair. Meaning that the government regulates fairly, and stays out the way. I also know that whenever government over-regulates costs go up, and those costs are passed onto us.

MrObvious

@fitty_three @terryclifton1

The most prosperous economy is a regulated true free market; one that is not afraid of a strong public sector. That's when you have the greatest growth in the middle class and more rich people; unlike now where you have lots of poor, a weak and shrinking middle class and a few glutton super rich. A slide to how it was before the labor movement in the beginning of 1900's.

of course, get money out of politics and change the constitution so that corporations are not people and money is not free speech and you'll correct a lot of wrong with our current system.

lets separate the nonsense - take out the first off your post which is the same typical 'winger drivel about shuving and what not.

Meanwhile, single mothers, minorities, families are not getting a bailout of this albatross.

No, corporations never pay, they just pass their costs onto consumers, and when that doesn't work, they lay off and or move to Mexico or China.

So then you're not for the free market and you do want corporations to pay their fair share?

Cool. Welcome.

terryclifton1

I believe in playing by the rules. If you're going to pass a law, then enforce the damn thing fairly. This is why our immigration system broken, because their is no will to enforce the law. Why bother creating laws, if you're going to ignore them? This is all about the mid-term elections. You libs never cease to amaze me. I would think that you would be shouting to the mountain tops on this selective enforcement, and the fact that individuals don't carry the political weight that "big business" has with your party. Be honest for a change..Geez, is that too much to ask?

Don't get your panties in a wad because I'm right. This whole scheme was shoved down our throats, and one of their biggest lies was that "big business" was to blame for the rising costs of healthcare, and now they are allowing the corporations another year to cut payroll and hours just so they don't have to participate. Meanwhile, single mothers, minorities, families are not getting a bailout of this albatross.

MrObvious

Actually what you either want is to make an idiotic point over a program you don't care for or you want our corporations to pay their fair share - which you don't. Either way you're the regular suspect of non integrity 'winger that want to make a point about something you don't like about an entity you adore (corporations). So the hypocrisy is yours.

Why? Because you would be wrong that the corporations won't pay. They will.
