Lindsey Graham on Today’s Benghazi Hearings

"The light footprint approach to the Mideast at a time of turmoil is not working."

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) joined Morning Joe today to discuss the congressional hearing on the September 11 Benghazi embassy attack. He blamed President Obama’s administration for misleading the public for political gain, and believes the attack symbolizes a wider U.S. failure in the Middle East. “I think there is a foreign policy gone wrong here,” said Graham. “I think the greater story is that the light footprint approach to the Mideast at a time of turmoil is not working.”

Graham's an idiot that needs to be replaced as soon as possible.

The problem here is that Graham had a chance to investigate in the senate and did not want to find the truth.

The truth is that Graham is responsible for turning Libya into a Hitler Like Dictatorship.  Graham promoted Sharia Law being put into Libya's constitution which turned Libya into a Hitler Like Dictatorship with Al Qaeda as their brownshirts. Graham funded and promoted this nightmare as the ARAB SPRING DEMOCRACY in Libya. Graham is not working for Americans, he's working for these 57 Hitler Like Dictators in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to create more Hitler Like Dictatorships for the Nazi New World Order.

Graham is responsible for lying to Americans about Sharia Law and the Arab Spring riots. Sharia Law turns any country into a Hitler Like Dictatorship when it's added to any country's constitution. Graham made sure Sharia Law was added to the constitutions of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Kenya, Mali, Tunisia and now wants Sharia Law in Syria and Iran. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. GET RID OF THIS IDIOT.

Every one of Graham's Hitler Like Dictators have declared war on US Citizens by mandating that every one of their citizens must war on US Citizens. Every one of Graham's Hitler Like Dictators have a law where if any citizen speaks out against them, the citizen can be publicly executed in the town square. Every one of Graham's Hitler Like Dictators have a law where any woman can be repeatedly gang raped until the agree to switch to their religious sect.

60 Embassy and Consulates killed while George Bush was president. 0-Republicans outraged. This is CRAZY! It's really sad we pay Republicans to be in washington. They just hate a educated, American black president. They say he's a fake president. Then say President Obama is dividing the country. Fox News and their crazy radio radical friends are dividing the country. Republicans are hateful, disrespectful, childish, self centered. Now their goal is to trash Hillary Clinton so they can try an steal another election with money from the NRA, an many millionaires. Here's a thought, how about win a fare election. Pass job bills, help the REAL America for a change. Stop the hate, and relate. For Humanity, USA stands for US All! Not just you, me or them.

Dear Sen. Graham:

It seems to me that you and the rest of the "strict constructionist" GOP members of Congress seem to have misplaced your copy of the US Constitution. Tell me, can you please identify the specific provision that requires our elected President to, inter alia, "manage the Arab Spring"? It is disingenuous enough when the GOP members of Congress try to hold President Obama personally accountable for job creation here at home (i.e., after filibustering and/or obstructing his Economic agendas and Stimulus packages to do just that), but here you really reveal how outlandish and, to be blunt, absurd your critique has become. Taken to its illogical conclusion, you want to pin the tail on the donkey (no pun intended) for the unbridled social unrest in Arab sovereigns that proximately result from a lack of jobs, inequitable distribution of wealth and incessant propaganda machine promulgated by the Arab ruling elite that (drumroll, please) blames the US/Israel for the problems of the general public. For you or former President George W. Bush to conflate the mere act of voting to be some "liberating" experience turns the lessons of History on its head. Rather, "it's the economy, stupid." Whether dispassionately appreciating and seeking to address via diplomacy the growing social unrest in the EU (see, e.g., Greece, Portugal, Spain, et al.) or in Egypt, Syria and Iraq...the people want jobs, potable water and functioning stream of commerce. For you to erroneously imply that it is the "light footprint" of the US military exacerbating the social unrest and/or anti-American sentiments tends to show how corrupted your views have become via the partisan lens you seek to thrust upon your constituents. Hmm. I wonder how the US taxpayers in your home state would feel if you were actually honest with them about what you are advocating: another multi-trillion dollar military occupation in an Arab sovereign that doesn't want our military presence there to begin with. So, instead of paying lip service to the Constitution, perhaps you should actually read Article II, Section 2, so that you might better understand the Separation of Powers that works and is.

The People elected President Obama to be the Commander in Chief. It is not the purview of a Congress on the perpetual take from campaign contributions to "demand answers" for policy decisions that are within the sole purview of the Executive branch to decide.

Teh Stupid rises. What are we supposed to do, impose the Neoconservative mime Bush traded in?

The GOP needs to stop thinking in terms of "us vs. them" because:

1. It never worked.

2. It's a really expensive prospect - and we DO NOT need unnecessary debt.

3. It's a ridiculous waste of human life - ours and theirs!

ANY "footprint" in the Mid-East is resented. Especially by Bible-thumping morons like Lindsey Graham and friends. Will they take our grocery bags full of money? (You're welcome Mr. Kharzai! Thanks for nothing!) Sure. Do we need to be there? No.

No, a light foot certainly hasn't worked.  Our job won't be done until all the disparate factions of the Middle East are united under one purpose ...  to make sure the US crashes, burns and feels the pain.  All together now...

Lindsey 'airfoot' Graham think our 'footprint' in Mid East is to light.

Now I wonder what he thought about our actual support of the rebels in Libya as they fought to liberate their country?

When I hear Lindsey and many other of the fainting couch GOPers It reminds me of the charge of the lightfoot brigade.

I hereby suggest new legislation; that people who want us to go to war also have to be first off the landing craft or at the front line when we charge. I have a feeling that we'll see much less willingness among most of our congress critters to argue for continued warfare by our war weary troops.

@GoodAmerican Indoctrination is a sad thing. The 60 men you speak of weren't all Americans. No better, but lets stop blaming Bush, you sound like broken record like the rest of the liberal media. I don't see how your blaming republicans, when all of the democratic controlled states are in economic chaos. If you can't see how Obama is dividing the country then your blind. Obama has had ONE dinner with republicans in almost 5 years, while republican senators and congressmen have, on record, called Obama out with ZERO response. Watch CSPAN if you don't believe me, MSNBC, NBC, and the likes are all paid for and bought by democrats. And don't dismiss FOX because they don't fit your bias,  its just sad. You can't trust ANY televised media outlet. And don't get me started with the NRA, they've got 5 million contributers and barely make a dent in the BILLIONS that Bloomberg spends on ANTI-NRA funds, if the NRA can buy out poliicians Obama would have lost the presidency. Notice he didn't? The people spoke and thats what they wanted. Sure politicians are corrupt  ALL OF THEM ARE, its not one sided. PS, Obama closed his Jobs creation board, he's not for jobs, Black America has DECLINED since he took office while welfare has nearly doubled. Fact check before regurgitating lie-beral propaganda.

I agree with you on Karzai (and the rest too), but I'm guessing that Karzai would just go over to the Taliban / Al-Queda camp if we cut him off.

@TyPollard No footprints, no presence in the Middle East. "not maybe, we SHOULD NOT leave footprints" where we're not wanted by ANYONE. Every major nation to get tangled with that area has came tumbling down. You can't fix the issues there, they don't wanna be helped as all they know is war. Stop dragging us down, fight the issues we've got in our homeland. That is except Israel, they're cool. Cute women :)

I don't know why the Southern Belle hasn't come out of the closet yet. His state has shown that they will elect anyone with an R by their name. Come on out Lindsey, and while you're at it, bring Mitch with you.

@Facts4Freedom @GoodAmerican You think Obama has a magic wand and can wave it to solve all of the problems he inherited from Bush? Historians, not you nor I will set the record straight and the word leaking out from that group don't look good for the Bush - Cheney years right now.

@KenServelloJr Well, it's expensive to clean up a crashed economy, two unfunded wars and unfunded Medicare Part D.  You do remember when the economy tanked, right?  Under Bush?  In 2008?  Before the election?

buffalo.barnes102

@fitty_three @buffalo.barnes102 Thanks. But, I think Karzai/Kharzi(?) was the "Devil we knew" as opposed to any sort of "great leader", per se. When we stormed into Afghanistan, we were looking for a bootlick to "hold our coat". And we got the best one money could buy. "Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely".

@Facts4Freedom Texas may not have a personal income tax but it has over 60, count them, 60+ sales and local taxes residents pay. Google it! Texas taxes the paper you wipe yourself with and is trying to figure out how to tax the air you breathe buddy.

@jmac @Hollywooddeed @KenServelloJr Sorry, wrong. Bankers crashed the Economy with improper loans, controlled by the Fed Reserve, which. Wow, controlled by a democratic congress during the bush years. Keep blaming bush, its what the media and obama does, so it must be right.

@Hollywooddeed @KenServelloJr  Not only did Bush and Co.  tank the economy,  Republicans are determined to keep it from improving so people like KenServelloJr will vote for them in the mid-terms.   They know their followers well.  They don't expect them to have a brain.
