The recent passage of strict antiabortion laws in Arkansas and South Dakota by white male Right Wing Christian legislators is clear evidence that the GOP’s “War on Women” is marching on with vigor.Women have the power of numbers, if they do not get out to vote in future elections to oust the Right Wing Christian fanatics they only have themselves to blame for being treated like farm animals instead of humans.

Washington Nationals 2, Miami Marlins 0.  Bryce Harper's two home runs accounted for all the scoring, and Stephen Strasburg threw seven shutout innings with three strikeouts and 52 strikes in 80 pitches.

Watch out, National League!

"Healthy Marriage Act"

"The Healthy Marriage Act would extend to two years the current one-year waiting period in order for a divorce to be finalized. During that time, the couple would have to complete courses on improving their communications skills and conflict resolution."

Won't they EVER think about the children?

"Your helpful charts 'o the day"

"There are, of course, many reasons for all this. But there is no doubt that we've been in the clutches of conservative economic orthodoxy since 1980 and this is the result. Whether it's the cause or whether it's because it has no capacity to react to external events properly doesn't matter. It has failed. And is still failing. #Austerity"

@sacredh I think it's one of those art thingy's that doesn't have nudes in so religious people won't complain.  We have one in Old Town Sacramento that looks like giant broken chess pieces.  I think?

Maybe I do but the connection seems far-fetched.

@ So even if all the Repubs don muzzles, they still won't get the Latino vote.  Gee, that's a shame.

@sacredh  Yeah, I think Frum is scared of Hillary. He seems to project his own misgiving about Republican prez picks, esp. next-in-line'ers, onto the Democrats. I think Hillary should be scared of presuming the nomintion is in the bag and thus pick weak campaign strategists ...just like '08. Obama had brilliant planners, Hillary did not and her staff snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

@retiredvet Will the Daily Caller still be around when Tucker Carlson is in prison for the Bob Mendez frame up?

@retiredvet Sounds like we have a new clown behind the wheel. Same clown car, new driver. And the wheels go round and round.

@retiredvet You'd like to think so, wouldn't you?

The illogic of her position is so obvious that it's hardly worth taking shots at it.  For openers, has she never heard of a sham heterosexual marriage?

Isn't it par for the course? They whine and cry about wasting tax payer money and then hand it out like it's Monopoly money.

roknsteve, at first I didn't see any real theme to it, but the more I looked at it, it is composed of smaller triangles making larger triangles. In WW II, gay Jewish men had to wear pink triangles in the concentration camps before they were murdered. It occurred to me that AIDS was a holocaust for the gay community. That's why I thought the connection may be far-fetched and stretching it a bit. It does make a kind of sense though.

I demand the same equal rights and respect as my religious brothers and sisters. We shall overcome. It's what tissues are for.

@deconstructiva @sacredh The fact that she picked and kept Mark Penn gave me concerns about her ability to select good people to work for her. I was still pro-Hillary to the end, but I did have that tiny doubt.

I bet Hillary will get better campaign people from Obama. And expect the Obamas to be actively involved.

Frum didn't mention that the republicans had an entire field of terrible candidates and that Mitt was only the least repellent.

Both my wife and I backed Hillary up until it became apparent that Obama would beat her. I didn't see much difference in them and was happy to switch my support. Her campaign's decision not to pay more attention to caucuses was a fatal error in my opinion. If she does run again, I look for many of Obama's top advisors to be on her payroll. Hillary is too smart not to recognize a winning strategy when she sees it.

retiredvet, you get a little bit used to the aches and pains that go with getting older. When the pain gets to be a distraction, then I use them.

retiredvet

I'm going through implant procedure to (eventually) replace two missing teeth. One recently extracted and later ripped up for bone grafts. I still have almost all of the pain killers unused. For some people pain is not the enemy.

retiredvet, I just took one of the painkillers he gave me (60) and noticed that it has 3 refills. Lol. Over a year ago I went in when I sprained my knee and he gave me 20 vicodin ESs. Six months later I went in for my checkup and had a sprained shoulder. I still had a dozen left and had the bottle with me. He told me to take what he prescribes and wrote me another one.

I hope it's a fun ride in 2016. Right now they're running around like a Chinese fire drill.

I don't expect a different outcome in 2016 either. They're going to play musical chairs and trash each other again.

Mitt was totally repellent but your point is taken.

I'm accident prone and he laughs at me almost every time I go in. He said that he needed me to drop my pants and I called him a ho'.
