Rep. Donna Edwards, D-Md.

“I daresay future generations will not be inspired by what this Congress will do.”
— Rep. Donna Edwards (D-MD) on the House floor yesterday, according to the Washington Post. The only item on the House agenda Monday was to rename a California NASA facility. On Friday, the sequester will cut about $894 million from NASA in FY 2013.

History will regard them as the BEST congress ever for stopping the dismantling of the best system of government the world has ever known.

Thank you, House of Representatives.

God speed!

They'll go down not as a "do-nothing Congress," but as the "WTF?!" Congress.

Great! Let's cut around $1 Bn from NASA, the most important agency for technological growth and innovation, not to mention a source of gainful employment for our best engineers and scientists. I guess the government isn't particularly interested in creating THOSE jobs.

@ZacPetit Great!  Let's use outdated 50 year old tech.  That's a great use for 1 billion.
