The NRA's Enemies List: Really? Chaka Kahn?

Ted's such a clown. I'm sure he's an American Hero to his followers, but then again, it doesn't take much to impress that crowd. For god's sake, he crapped in his own pants (for two weeks) to get out of the draft. He's less than a chicken hawk and he's on the board of the NRA? Talk about low standards.
Not a single republican voted for Hagel in committee:

Quarter of Republicans Think Obama May Be the Anti-Christ

The problem with having all this information at ones fingertips is that nonsensical people will only use it to network with like-minded to purify the pool. They don't seek to 'learn' new things - they seek to convince themselves that what they're saying is the trooth 'cause someone else said it.
The November elections were an outright disaster for the right. The Karl Rove experiment was a spectacular failure. They spent hundreds of millions and had almost NOTHING to show for it. Now Rove is catching hell from the Tea Party for coming out against them. This may not signal a split in the party, but if they stay together, it's a marriage made in Hell.
Until you can. Get $ out of politics, and get rid of entrenched power, its almost a lost cause.
Nov showed it isn't yet, but that was harder than it should have been.
@sacredh
Ten years ago I thought that this would be another age of enlightenment. All of the knowledge of the world would be at our fingertips. I thought the evangelicals were on the cusp of going back to being a religious faction and leaving politics alone. It never really crossed my mind that misinformation and outright lies would be just as equally weighted.
Sane people will always fight insanity. And nonsensical people will always insist that they know the trooth.
As long as you're on the right side of the nonsense line you'll be fine. This fight have been going on for ages. It's a good thing however that the sane are in majority. Slim as it might be. 'Cause history shows what happens when insanity rules.
That saddens me too MrObvious. Sometimes I feel like we're heading into another Dark Age and there's almost nothing we can do to stop it. Even in my own house there's someone that thinks Obama is the anti-Christ. That's flat out insane. How can you argue with someone that believes such nonsense? It's like me cleaning up on the last election. The people I made bets with weren't fools. They weren't stupid. They just refused to see reality. Maybe that did make them fools.
Over the top is fun; truth in exaggeration and sarcasm is good. It's like thinking and laughing at the same time. Plus you cut through fog and get to the human crude core.
But rightwingers actually believe the kind of stupid shit we joke about. And that's sad. It's like having an argument with a 3 year old.
I do go a little over-the-top sometimes, but I look at my efforts as a public service.
No YOU are an endless source of amusement. Laughing and pointing at someone just makes me sad.
I don't mind 1 or 2 trampoline accidents, but eventually even my balls hurt when rightwingers keep hitting their nuts over and over.
@elizabethjdias Warren's new radio program will be called the Daily Hope, M-F for 30 min. He will teach. Starts April 1
M-F for 30 minutes? Must. Resist.
I actually think it's more like the "State of paulejb" more than anything else...
Which is, incidentally not in particularly great shape, to borrow from the art of British understatements.

@paulejb We are the Stupid party and look another pointless cartoon to prove it.
California to make registered republicans answer two questions before they can vote:
1. What luxury liner suffered the greatest numer of casualities on it's maiden voyage?
2. Name them.
Evangelicals have to correctly guess the last word in the Bible too. On the first try.
@sacredh The last word in the bible is forever from the the line that says, "We paid the last rent on the Holy Land so we own it forever".
Imagine a woman pope?
I think 10k evangelicals just had to sit dow,
