Marco Rubio savior of the Republican Party? Hispanic? The rest of us Hispanics don't consider him a Hispanic but a Cuban who lied about why and when his parents came to the US. Marco Rubio in one word. Vendido
You can just picture the cranky old GOP white guys over the last few months: "Quick we need more token ___[young people, blacks, women, hispanics, etc etc]___ people to look hip and with it." When they try to pull in a drag queen as Congressman that'll be really funny.
Liberal media would be better to be concerned about democrat party's death.
A party cannot run on demography for ever! A real party should be constituted based on principle
The short attention span at TIME doesn't cease to amaze me. Only last week they were taunting Chris Christie as the saviour of the GOP. Now it's Rubio. And what happened to Paul Ryan?
This may be the savior for the gringos because he heat latinos....just use them
Republican savior? Let me see - he's the same ol' GOP on the inside. No to everything but he's other on the outside so that means that he'll be automatically the best choice for the other others.
That is why some righties are just so stupid. They actually believe that it's the appearance of other that will people flock to you. Like he appears to be a godfearing person. He appears to be moral. He appears to be brown, he appears to be hard working. He appears to be straight. He appears to be sane etc. They really don't care about IF they are all of these things; only that the promise that they ARE.
Meanwhile - I didn't vote for Obama because he's brown. Maybe someone did. I don't care. I voted for him because he's not Mitt. And that Obamas ideas fall in line more with me then anything Mitt suggested.
Rubio? He wants immigration reform just because it's a growing voter block and overwhelmingly voted for Obama. Not because he gives one spit about the issue with immigrants. That's the differense. For Democrats and liberals immigration and such is about basic human rights.
For GOP it's about ensuring election win. Once they win they will continue to be the same exclusive group.
There's got to be a fairy tale in this somewhere. He tells one story of his life and the facts tell another.
The good thing about Rubio to the majority of Floridians is that he is a Florida Senator. He talks a lot. Yet he has done little if anything for the people of his state. That is, of course, unless you are one of Jeb's buddies.
