Commander-In-Arms

The White House released a photo of President Obama skeet shooting at Camp David this weekend, which got us wondering at Swampland, what other presidents shoot?  We found from Cleveland to Clinton, Roosevelt to Reagan, presidents of all stripes hunting or toting guns.  Check out TIME’s unique photo collection of armed presidents here.

They could make a lot of money with a reality show where the President rides an ATV with a dart gun loaded up with horse tranquilizer. Then they would release a bunch of naked Tea Party reps into the woods to be hunted. Strictly tag and release of course. Hell, I'd cough up a paycheck to get that channel, to say nothing of that Most Dangerous Game thing. This is a serious revenue raising idea.

The controversy is funny as get out when you look at that staged picture of Roosevelt. The best pic in there is that one of Grover Cleveland. Wow. What a great capture for 1890!

I demand to see a photo of Obama walking into a Christian church where the lightning strikes haven't been photoshopped out.

@sacredh

I demand to see Obama in person to finally put to rest the theory that he's a hologram created by Chinese satellites.

I insist on seeing the photos of Obama stomping on the Constitution and rolling joints with pages from the Bible.

Is there a reason politicians, particularly democrats (remember when Kerry did it during the 2004 election) feel the need to take photo ops like this?  I don't want to see you shooting guns Mr. President, and I can tell you right now that the people who base their votes on such things hate you anyways; what's the point?

@DonQuixotic

Obama was asked last week if he'd ever fired a gun.  He said he'd done some skeet shooting at Camp David.  Nobody believed him - so they released the photo.

I don't think he was trying to be macho (well, maybe the "all the time" thing might've been - but I think that was a flub), I think he was just trying to remove a stupid attack on him and it spiraled out of control.

@forgottenlord @DonQuixotic

I don't see the need to remove a stupid attack precisely because it is stupid.  Why cater to the lowest common denominator of voters; people that will never support him anyways.

If it's true and you were just given the question, why not say "yes, I've shot a gun"?  Is there really any point to not saying it?

Cheney asked for a large donation. His friend said no. Cheney shot him.

"The White House released a photo of President Obama skeet shooting at Camp David this weekend, which got us wondering at Swampland, why the press checks out every rabbit hole the right points out to them and when are they going to stop?"

.

Fixed.

@gysgt213 This week the White House will release photos of Pres. Obama bowling, brushing his teeth, changing a light bulb, etc. and the Gee-O-Pee will claim that it's all photo shopped.

Wait until some Bagger accuses the President of being uncircumsized. Now there's a "1000 Words" for us if I ever saw one.

@sacredh Remember.  We still have not seen the long form version of this photo.   I'm not saying the president is not shooting a gun here, but its a question some are asking.

It's quite obvious that the person in the above photo is covering their face with the butt of the gun for a reason.  Clearly this impostor is not Obama, but a plant to further his Socialist agenda.

CNN is pretty worthless. They're still better than Fox, but that isn't saying much.

@sacredh Here's Ted showing up on CNN. Now the most worthless name in News.

.

On Erin Burnett OutFront, Feyerick previewed a CNN special recorded at Nugent's home that featured a conversation about strengthening gun laws. During the segment Feyerick lauded Nugent for his "very firm grasp of the facts" about gun violence. Feyerick went on to describe Nugent as having "a very deep connection with the facts and the facts that he needs to make his argument":

Amazing how the right gets to dictate news coverage. I eat one meal a day. If someone said "You never eat anything", I could say " I eat all the time". That doesn't mean that I eat all day long, it just means that I do it everyday. When the wingers decide to devote their focus to the idiotic, it shouldn't surprise them when they get treated like idiots.

I haven't read about Nugent saying anything stupid for a couple of days now. Does he heave bronchitis?

@sacredh  What if it was a patriot from middle America? Some poor fellow just clinging to his gun and religion in these tough times of uncertainty and fear of being treated by Obamacare.   Surely there is someone in the White House press core or on MTP that could hammer and badger Jay Carney on this important issue until he tells the truth about Benghazi and fast and furious.

Plus, we can't see the target. How do we know that Obama isn't taking a shot at some true patriot begging him not to turn us into a socialist hell? Does anybody know what actually killed Barney?
