“Based on several key assurances provided by Senator Hagel, I am currently prepared to vote for his confirmation. I encourage my Senate colleagues who have shared my previous concerns to also support him.”
— In a statement released Jan. 15, Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) endorses Obama's nominee for Defense Secretary, Chuck Hagel. Schumer met with Hagel for 90 minutes Monday, and his concerns about Hagel's record on Israel and Iran were alleviated.

What a surprise! Chuckie Schumer throws Israel under the bus at the behest of his left wing master. Liberal ideology always trumps other loyalties.

But now Iran will win!  Iran!  That's like part of the axis of evil or something!

That's nice. If we can just talk the wingers into getting a rabies shot maybe we can have a vote.

@sacredh Hey sacred, how did you get the highlight/blockquote? (Or, is this the "solid blue rectangle" that you were talking about...?

kbang, I was wondering the same thing a few days ago and one of the regulars (I forgot who) said that when someone clicks on your icon and then a reply thread, that your post gets highlighted. I had thought it had something to do with getting flagged. It doesn't.

@sacredh Hey sacred, that was me, saying that I'd noticed a blue *outline* of a rectangle when I clicked on my emails or one of the user profile comments. It goes away when I click elsewhere.

Your comment above still has a light-blue *solid* rectangle around it (kind of like the old "blockquote" style), and has not gone away. I'm thinking this is some kind of a  hidden style that you accidentally activated...
