TIME takes a photographic look at the formative years of the Garden State’s larger-than-life governor

So Media have found one GOPer that sounds reasonable and now he's the figure head for all of conservatism. It's like a drop in a torrent current of insanity and somehow it'll reverse the gravitational pull towards the stupid.
Maybe you're confusing mass with actual force here.
Let's not let excitement for a rational Republican with fidelity to his constituents and principles cloud the reality that he is a severely conservative politician who, for example, feels that individual civil rights can be decided by majority votes.
Time is there a reason you're trying to shove Christie down our throats? I know he's on your cover and you've got to do your marketing, but come on, why? There are better Republicans than him you can showcase if you really care about their party.
Going through all of the pictures was interesting. Whether people will admit it or not, his weight is going to be an issue. There is a bias against heavy set people.
I wonder how Christie's bipartisanship is going to play in Alabama and Utah? My guess is that Christie plays better in the blue states that he'd lose anyway than in the diehard red states that he absolutely needs.
Besides being the flavor of the month, Christie is a popular republican governor in a blue state. That kind of spells horserace. The 2012 race wasn't as close as the media made it out to be (witness focusing on the national polls when Obama was kicking butt in the battleground states).
Too many people equate being heavy set with a lack of personal control. Yes, many people do over eat, but just as many people diet just to stay where they are weight wise. Where I work, the three of us that are the thinnest are also the biggest eaters. One of the guys is hilarious. He says eating just makes him hungry. We'll be working shift together and if one of us brings in a pie, we just cut it in half.
