Sometimes politicians are most effective when they make a simple, personal appeal to the voter. That’s what President Obama did in this July ad seeking to refute the notion that the election would be a referendum on his economic record. “Sometimes politics can seem very small,” Obama says directly to the camera. “But the choice you face–it couldn’t be bigger.”
