It was enlightening to hear from Willard that Syria is important to Iran because Syria offers Iran … wait for it … a route to the sea.

I could have sworn Iran sits right next to a little something called the Persian Gulf …

Have people forgotten? Forgotten how Republican policy caused the greatest economic collapse in America since the Great Depression.  If we don't know our history then we are doomed to repeat it.

Another great victory for President Obama tonite. Romney sounded like a flustered broken record. Well done, Mr. President.

Can our Media please point out that Mitt suddenly is 180 degrees against anything he have said before?

@MrObvious Just more proof that Willard has absolutely no core values, no beliefs he holds dear, no idea or policy he will go to the mat for. He will not only say anything, but he will also deny he ever said the opposite in the first place, despite evidence to the contrary.

But our exalted media is too busy discussing whether Obama was "too aggressive" to bother with pointing out Willard's blatant, shameless lying.

Gah!! Comments are rough!! Livefyre is tough.

Third time, I can't wait for the media to tell me how Obama lost. Or how it was a draw.

So, Willard is all for promoting gender equality in the Middle East, but not here in the U.S.?

Also, at what point during the debate did Willard's campaign people have to sedate John Bolton?

Moderate Mitt - one day he'll Bomb Iran, the other he agrees with Obama but will be tougher.

And now the pundits are erasing anything Romney said and he's the new moderate Mitt.

Romney ceded the most ground, Obama got line of the night, Obama may have been too aggressive and he slaughtered Romney on points when it comes to Foreign Policy - Romney ended up ceding every corner of ground and what little he tried to stake, Obama was already in the middle of. So the real question is: did Romney pick up enough points on domestic policy to overcome the fact that he ceded everything foreign policy wise?

No Mitt....you see the Republicans have set a new model for government.  Its called "Just Say No"  and you let the country cumble while you wait to blame the other party in the next election.

I consider this debate a win for the President, but CW in the Beltway Bubble will probably decide otherwise.

- The Salt Lake Tribune also endorsed Obama on Friday, criticizing Romney for "lavishing vastly diverse audiences with words, any words, they would trade their votes to hear."

Investing in companies? Federal money used to rescue companies? Like the Federal money invested in Bain?

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/the-federal-bailout-that-saved-mitt-romney-20120829

In fact, government documents on the bailout obtained by Rolling Stone show that the legend crafted by Romney is basically a lie. The federal records, obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, reveal that Romney's initial rescue attempt at Bain & Company was actually a disaster – leaving the firm so financially strapped that it had "no value as a going concern." Even worse, the federal bailout ultimately engineered by Romney screwed the FDIC – the bank insurance system backed by taxpayers – out of at least $10 million.

I was the son of Detroit - let them go under. And then he and his billionaire friends made trunk loads of money on it. Best part, his billionaire friends bought up car parts manufacturer and have moved many plants to China. He's full of BS. He personally made between 15 mill to 100 mill on the bailout.
