Morning Must Reads: Pew

Romney skyrockets in Pew’s national poll, driven largely by a shift in party identification that’s good news for Republicans.

One poll is, well, one poll, but people like to flip.

Worst (best?) debate spin yet: Abraham Lincoln was a bad debater. (Pantaloons on fire.)

Pew also finds 1 in 5 Americans now have no religious affiliation.

And he Obama campaign sends around a Big Bird “TV” ad, which I don’t think they’ll spend much on:

1 in 5 is unreligeous but it seems unthinkable that such person would survive in politics, what does mean , one fifth of pols are hiding their real thoughts or only the religeous entet politics?! Seriously, i cant even tell people around me , i have questions about theories i learned growing up and i am looking for answers, its not received well.

DQ: "Ever hear of the US Navy ahandout?  Ever hear of the US Air Force ahandout?  Ever hear of the CIA ahandout?"

So now you are putting you faith back into the CIA.  We can't even get intelligence about Iran's nuclear facilities, except through the Israelis.

This article discusses American drones.  Imagine a cargo ship supposedly from China, or another country with the capability to launch drones.  They don't even have to have anyone on board.  All launched remotely and simultaneously from 100 miles offshore, or 600, or 1000.  You really think we can patrol the whole ocean, when we cannot even patrol our own borders?  Ever hear of the Mexican border?  It's like a sieve.

"And keep in mind that when drones are capable of taking off

from and landing on aircraft carrier decks, they will quite literally

be offshore with respect to all borders, but capable of crossing any.

(The Navy's latest plans include a future drone that will land itself on those decks without a human pilot at any controls.)"https://www.commondreams.org/v...

DQ,  your argument is a loser.  You really should sit down and "do your homework," with Barry and Big Bird.

During a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Brigadier General

Jamaloddin Aberoumand, the deputy coordinator of Iran's IRGC, said: "In

view of the fact that they (the Israelis) have announced that the unmanned aerial vehicle had penetrated about 100 kilometers into the

occupied territories shows that the Zionist regime suffers from many

weaknesses," According to Tehran Times.

DonQuixotic,

"Why you two are trying to discredit one of Reagan's most noble goals is beyond me."

===================================

No discrediting meant. Reagan was not a gullible fool. He was a strong advocate of missile defense and reality in negotiations,

I should point out Paul and ahandout that the only reason Reagan didn't secure complete nuclear disarmament with Gorbachev is that he was unwilling to give up STARWARS, a system that never worked and would be completely useless with an enemy that doesn't use nuclear warheads.

DonQuixotic,

"Paul you must have little to no confidence in our military, the CIA or our allies if you think that will ever happen.  The balloons you're citing failed too."

With nukes you only need one that works to ruin your day.

"A Truly Credible Military Threat to Iran

The Israelis and the Americans are zeroing in on a strike option that has a real chance of deterring the mullahs -- and defusing Mitt Romney's attacks."

DonQuixotic,

"Oops!  So Paul, do you think Mitt Romney will protect us from this fictitious nuclear strike from North Korea?  If so, how?"

"North Korea Says Its Missiles Can Reach U.S. Mainland"

Estimating the missile capabilities of a country as secretive as North Korea is notoriously difficult. But military experts and South Korean government officials have said that the North has already deployed ballistic missiles capable of reaching targets as far away as Guam, the American territory in the Pacific."In addition, North Korea has repeatedly conducted what it calls satellite launchings that American and South Korean officials, as well as the United Nations Security Council, have condemned as a cover for developing and testing intercontinental ballistic missile technology."

Barry never had an original thought.  He's an empty chair.  Barry, stuck in a 1960s and 70s liberalism.  Is it any wonder it seems like the Carter years all over again.

"Obama has also refused to release his Columbia thesis, which was about

nuclear disarmament of the West. Perhaps Obama is fearful that his

thesis, which likely advocates the disarming of the West at the peak of

the Cold War, would be seen as incredibly stupid – which it would be."

There is Iran, Pakistan, Syria, and Venezuela which all cooperate with North Korea.

The Obama administration has said repeatedly that there were no warnings of an emminent attack.  First, who really believes that?  I guess the same people that believe it was due to a youtube video.  The head of security in Libya asked for more security, but got told no.  Ambassadors are expendable under Barry.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-20...

The most recent accusations come from Lt. Col. Andy Wood, the former

head of a U.S. Special Forces "Site Security Team" in Libya, who tells

CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson he and many other senior staff

at the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli, "felt we needed more, not less" security

personnel in the country, but were told "to do with less. For what

reasons, I don't know."

charlieromeobravo,

"Does that mean that if Romney's bounce fades and Obama gains in the polls again, you'll still accept them as legitimate? Or will you have another excuse to deny reality?"

Every pollster will attempt to make the final polls as accurate as possible because that is what they will be judged on for the 2012 election.

"Did Obama Just Throw The Entire Election Away?"

"Look: I'm trying to rally some morale, but I've never seen a candidate this late in the game, so far ahead, just throw in the towel in the way Obama did last week - throw away almost every single advantage he had with voters and manage to enable his opponent to seem as if he cares about the middle class as much as Obama does."

"Princeton Economist: Obama Campaign Is Misrepresenting My Study on Romney's Tax Plan"

"I can’t tell exactly how the Obama campaign reached that characterization of my work.  It might be that they assume that Governor Romney wants to keep the taxes from the Affordable Care Act in place, despite the fact that the Governor has called for its complete repeal.  The main conclusion of my study is that  under plausible assumptions, a proposal along the lines suggested by Governor Romney can both be revenue neutral and keep the net tax burden on taxpayers with incomes above $200,000 about the same.  That is, an increase in the tax burden on lower and middle income individuals is not required in order to make the overall plan revenue neutral."
