When Obama said the “private sector is doing fine” at a June 8 news conference, he meant to say that jobs in the private sector are growing while jobs in the public sector have been declining. But he didn’t. Romney said the comment showed that the President was oblivious and that it was time for new leadership: “Has there ever been an American president who is so far from reality as to believe in an America where 23 million Americans are out of work?”
