There’s folksy and there’s offensive, and then there’s Joe Biden. At a campaign rally in Danville, Va., on August 14, Joe Biden said that if Romney were elected president, he would let Wall Street go back to doing whatever it wants: “unchained…he gonna put y’all back in chains.” The slavery metaphor was inappropriate, especially in front of an audience that included many African-Americans. But it didn’t faze ol’ Joe. He finished his speech to applause, saying ”With you we can win North Carolina again.” Danville is in Virginia.
