********************NEWSFLASH************************

The big, BIG stadium speech for Barack "Barry" Hussein Soetoro-Obama's acceptance speech has been moved indoors.

I am so disappointed.  Why?  Why would they keep all the throngs of liberals from witnessing yet again a historic moment?  To share in all the fun?

Couldn't they get the greek columns in through the doors?  Did the Roman chariots not come in as planned?

So many questions.

No, over 70,000 people will now be cut down to just a little over 11,000.  Pretty much what we saw last night.  All because of a little threat of rain.  "We just can't take the risk".

“Government Is The Only Thing We All Belong To,” says a video at the DNC.

Yes without a doubt, the biggest, most defining difference between the RNC and the DNC is government.

The RNC believes in a smaller, more efficient form of government.  Where governing is brought back to the local level.  Right where the people live and work.  To spend those dollars in downtown America, not downtown DC to the throngs of special interest groups and lobbyists.

The DNC which we saw example after example of want in particular young, un-married women to feel secure.  They want these women to know that "Uncle Sam" is there to PROTECT them.  They want all Americans to know that Big Government IS the answer to all things for mankind.

The liberal elitists want big government to tell us what we can and cannot do in our lives.  To be the deciding factor, the judge of what you should and shouldn't eat, drink, or wear.  How you should conduct yourself.  How you should THINK.  All you have to do is just give up a few of your rights as they are guaranteed in the Constitution.  Just hand them over to the government, where the government is now being held at bay by the Constitution.

Something tells me that is not what the founding fathers had in mind when they put all of these documents together over 236 years ago.  Nope, it's change alright.  Totally revamping who and what we are.

The RNC believes in a smaller, more efficient form of government.

Which is why they want the government in every woman's uterus.

How Fast Can An Ex-Solyndra Figure Run and Hide From the Media?

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/...

The big donors are alive and well in the Democrat Party.  There is no shortage of crony capitalists who will support the Obama Campaign.  They just don't want to be caught on camera.  They don't want to talk about it.

Wonder why they never mention that the other equal private donor in Solyndra was Alice Walton?

What I also found remarkable was all the patriotic and military praising that went on last night.

The mother who introduced Michelle.  She has a child in all branches of the military with the one exception of the Coast Guard, but that little tot is just a year or two away.

Gone are the days when liberals shouted out "BABY KILLER" as troops walked by on their way home from the battlefields.  One thing is certain, Republicans no longer own the military or defense.  Just like they are now clinging to their guns, liberals are front and center praising our troops.

Even Michelle last night was praised for all the hard work she has done for military Moms.  Of course we have not heard or seen a word in the press about it, she has been moving about the military ranks in silent.  Bringing so much hope to our brave soldiers.

But then this, why has the Pentagon failed to comply with a law to help overseas soldiers vote?

That doesn't make sense.  One would think with all the hoopla over the military we witnessed last night at the DNC Convention, liberals would be clamoring for our military men and women to have their one right, arguably their most important right secured.  But, that's not the case.

Hmmmmm, so many questions.  So little time left until November 6th.

"But then this, why has the Pentagon failed to comply with a law to help overseas soldiers vote?"

Is this the part where you guys suddenly get concerned about voter disenfranchisement?  I for one am glad to see that the GOP has seen the error of their ways.

Now we know why the DNC ripped GOD out of the party platform.  JESUS has come to Charlotte, well he will be on Thursday.

"Bar-ak" has been reborn.  The Messiah is HERE!!  Praise the Lord!!

Democrats will be elated on Thursday as they witness history in the making.  The coming of the Messiah.

"It's pronounced Hey-zooos....."

"Hey the artist left out the HORNS...."

"Put a bullet in it's head, then we will know. "

"No professing Christian would allow himself/herself to be portrayed in this way!   A Mooslim would have no problem with it."

"Man...there's another reason I'm glad I was born Republican."

And so on, and so on... It's like a nation of Roddys.

Is Jerusalem in or out?  Chuckles Shumer doesn't know.  But Chuck, you should read this...

Schumer is asked about Obama's position after Democrats removed this pro-Israel language from this year's party platform: "Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths."

Schumer is not able to say why that language has been removed, and where President Obama stands on the issue.

But CNN reported yesterday that the language was removed so that the platform would be aligned with the Obama administration: The Democratic National Committee is "simply following what the Obama administration's policy is," CNN reported the DNC as saying. "That the White House said several months ago that the status of Jerusalem is an issue that should be resolved in the final status negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians and that is why that is not in the platform as it was in 2008."

It's not in Chuck.  Never has been with the Obama Administration.  I knew that.  Everyone knows that.  Even the Iranians know that.  If Obama is re-elected, Israel is ALL BY THEMSELVES.  ALONE.  Waiting for their annihilation.

To be WIPED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH.

I know I swore I wouldn't respond to your idiocy again, but this one is just too f'ing stupid to ignore. Obama had done a better job of supporting Israel than Bush and Republicans in general.

When he visited Israel as a candidate he saw firsthand how vulnerable Israeli villagers were to rocket attacks from Gaza. As president, he responded by providing full financing and technical assistance for Israel’s Iron Dome short-range anti-rocket defense system, which is now protecting those villagers. In July, he provided an additional $70 million to extend the Iron Dome system across southern Israel. That’s in addition to the $3 billion in annual military assistance to Israel that the president requests and that Congress routinely approves, assistance for which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed deep personal appreciation. When the first President Bush had disagreements with Israel over its settlement policy, he threatened to withhold loan guarantees from Israel. Mr. Obama has had his own disagreements with Mr. Netanyahu over the settlers but has never taken such a step. To the contrary, he has increased aid to Israel and given it access to the most advanced military equipment, including the latest fighter aircraft.

"The Ted Kennedy tribute video last night was pretty rousing."

And highly telling about Romney:  The same attacks that were valid then are valid now, being multiple choice rather than pro-choice, etc...  I thought the refusal to take a position on almost everything was a presidential election strategy but it was nice to be reminded that Romney just operates that way.  He had a 3 day convention to finally express some values but he never got beyond expressing an alleged longing to return to a Leave It To Beaver-esque world that never ever existed in the first place.

First Lady says husband 'a man we can trust'

http://news.yahoo.com/first-la...

Yes people.  Trust.  "Barack didn't realize that things were as bad off as they were".  Really?

Wasn't he watching the news Michelle?  He didn't read the reports that said the financial sector was totally locked up and no money was being moved around or lent out to anyone?  That the Great Panic of 2008 was underway just a month or so before he was to take over the helm?

But yes, trust.  We are now to "trust" Barry, because after FOUR LONG YEARS, things just haven't gone exactly as they had "planned".  23,000,000 MILLION people STILL out of work.  But, trust us.  Trust Barry.  Trust big government.  YES WE CAN!!!

Loved the Kennedy video.  Flustered Mitt in his own words, telling one of his four positions on abortion.  Priceless.

Did you notice how he was a lot more lively back then? Even if it was still flip floppery.

charlieromeobravo

Four positions?  What are you talking about?  Mitt has been absolutely consistent on abortion since he last changed his mind in 2005.  And I'm sure that he was completely consistent in one of the positions he carried leading up until 2005 too :-)

That article on embellishments is more like a "well, that's true but here's what Romney says".  Really, if that's all they've got to criticise that's pretty small beer.

That Kennedy video was awesome.

Even CNN's resident GOPers were saying how impressive the video was.

Alex Castellanos was saying it was the best bit of political communication he's seen in a very long time - and someone asked him, don't you make political commercials? And he said said yes, and that was really good.

I'm paraphrasing, but he was grudgingly impressed.

Huh. I didn't hear any GOPer (or supposed neutral **David Gergen cough cough** even moving an inch for what was a spectacular opening night at the DNC. THis is why I wish lefties would stop giving any praise to even the theater of RNC because we never get same back.

Thank you Democrats from removing God/Israel from the your platform.  Explicit religious undertones like that have no place in politics, we have enough Christian Taliban in America as it is.  I got a chuckle that the Republican platform mentions "God" a whopping ten times.

According to a new national poll released Tuesday, just before the start of the Democratic convention, the GOP presidential nominee appears to have received a one-point convention bounce, normal for the modern political era.

...

The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points, with a sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points for registered and likely voter questions.

Well then!

~

charlieromeobravo
charlieromeobravo

Yeah, I think everyone expects big results from these conventions but the bounce is actually quite small historically.  If Romney is running on his business credentials (without being allowed to talk about distractions like Bain, however that's possible) then he should be immediately disqualified from office because these conventions give a terrible return on investment :-)
