Doing the work of God aka Goldman Sachs , Llyod Blankfein after cheating 'you people' by selling bonds designed to fail.
If the GOP is God's will, he must have given up on the United States as a nation that cares about people more than their own worldly possessions and power. Following their agenda would be a repudiation of Christian humility and love, replaced by demagoguery and militarism. Their self-righteous claim of superior religious beliefs is betrayed by their actions against women, minorities, the poor and the elderly. Religion has no place in politics, but honesty and equality do.
Congratulations to the anonymous TIME Journalist who was dumb enough to post this garbage.
You have won the “Swampland Shiny Object Gold Award.”
You’re Number One
The “Shiny Object Award Program” was created to recognize the TIME Journalist who achieves the highest score in the writing of “Shiny Object Stories”.
Shiny Object Stories are stories that, rather than talk about the important issues related to the Presidential election, choose to write about subjects of minor importance. These stories are designed to take the pressure off President Obama on the big issues such as Jobs, the economy and his record and to aid him in his re-election campaign. They also show how much in the tank a TIME Journalist is for Barack Obama.

peanuts,
He's almost as bad as those 1,531 Illinois Democratic politicians that have been convicted of crimes over the last 50 years
Yup , not forgetting those 3531 GOP politicians that are criminal also.
Good Point !.
Mitt Romney is the criminal in chief. hahahahah
The end justified the means to get there.. Or does it Dirty money give one dirty hands regardless how its laundered
Just like Romney's tax papers they help the public see where he gained and the methods used and how legitimate that gain was without the question. Living via Knowledge of the facts rather than developing faith in a bias witness (Mitt has skin in that battle and cant recluse himself ) proving that all is above board.
Just for you folks who don't follow SC politics (and why would you?), Knotts is the guy who called Gov. Nikki Haley a "raghead," in reference to her Sikh heritage. What a clown; just like so many of the folks I remember from growing up there in the 60s and 70s. Wish I had a dollar for every time I heard "N*****'s are OK, as long as they know their place," or some similar remark (many much worse). Thankfully, a lot of these folks have passed on, but their memory lives on in the words and actions of folks like Knotts. One wonders why Ms. Haley would choose to associate with a "party" that serves as a refuge for people who think this way.

Ms Haley know that the vast majority of the republican party are not that way.
Today there are more bigots on the democratic side than on the republican side.
Half the post made here by liberals are bigoted.
Could be, Foggy. But she could have joined the Democratic party, which at one time had a strong presence in the state (think long-time US Senator Ernest "Fritz" Hollings, and Governor Jim Hodges, as recently as 2003. Ms. Haley attended the same university as I did (Clemson), and I can assure you that it was no bastion of conservative thought. Nearby Bob Jones University had that covered.
Thanks for the welcome, kbanginmotown. I have been reading and enjoying the comments here for four years, and this was the first time that I felt the need to speak up. My screen name refers to fact that I've lived in SC, AZ, TN, and now FL, which is the most "liberal" of the four. Somehow, I ended up in Allen West's district! I'm at the northern end of his "old" district, and will be at the southern end of his "new" district if he wins (not a sure thing, thankfully). I'm an Independent, and have voted for both major parties at various times, but the current Republican Party has moved so far to the right that I cannot in good conscience support their candidates. Now that I've "broken the ice," I'll try to post on a more regular basis.
Wasn’t that the moral conundrum of “The Lord of the Rings”? Take an evil power and think you're doing good? Perhaps Senator Knotts can take his precious and fall into Mount Doom for us.
...And what did God say His will was again? I missed the teleconference where He told everyone.
Wow. I can think of no better quote to sum up the relationship between money and the nonsensical righteousness of the church.
Isn't it just great how there are people who can turn anything - even decidedly immoral, illegal acts - into God's will? I am totally for other people practicing and voicing their religion (in this case, Christianity), as long as they actually believe and act accordingly and don't use their religion as an absurdly illogical justification for un-Christian actions.
Tis a pity that General Sherman and his boys didn't lay total waste to SC when they had the chance.
I'm sure he could justify lying during a political campaign in the same manner.
He might want to take a look at those passages out of the New Testament where many who say they are doing His work are given a swift kick out the door.
Enjoy the "here and now", Congressman, because I don't think the hereafter for you is going to be what you expect it to be.
