Here's a thought: try taxing the christ-cult for all its holdings,

properties, etc., upon which it claims the right to be tax exempt -- at

the rate of $71,000,000,000 (yep, 71 TRILLION) dollars EACH YEAR.

What would Jeezus do?  He was a bit of a nutcase socialist, going around

giving healthcare away, absolutely free, to anyone who asked.

GOBAMA2012!!!!  YES WE DID!!!  YES WE CAN!!!   YES WE WILL!!!

Paul Dirks,

"The only point I need to prove is that you are utterly gullible and have a reckless disregard for the accuracy of what you post. The rest will take care of itself."

Nope. Still a loser.

But thanks for playing.

Paul Dirks,

"No I'm suggesting that the folks you link to daily are liars."

You only say that because they challenge liberal superstitions and it rattles your belief in the dogma of the Church of the Almighty Government.

"Flashback: ABC News Says Obama Raising Taxes On Those Making Over $250K Would Hurt Nearly 900K Small Businesses…"

Why does Barack Obama hate small business people? They are the backbone of the job market.

Why doesn't Barry eliminate the loopholes that let his pals at GE pay no taxes?

"How much did Romney earn and where did he hide it?"

What business is that of yours, Mori? You aren't going to vote for him anyway. I don't give a damn what Mitt does with his money, I give a damn about what Obama is doing with my money.

"And every sing day you are called out for it.

And every 'sing' day I swat away the critics as I would a gnat.

"That's a great story but I doubt that many liberals would understand it.

Perhaps, but it amuses me to contemplate the entire hive scrambling on google to find out what the hell I am talking about. It's an educational exercise for them.

Mid-day Monday, President Obama announced his plan

for the Bush tax cuts, the depressed tax rates that became law in 2003

that were extended last year. When they finally expire at the end of

2012, Obama will say, they should be extended only for those making less

than a quarter-million dollars annually. For everyone else, they should

go away permanently.

not proposing anything radical here,” Obama said in the East Room of

the White House. “I’m just proposing that anyone making $250,000 a year

should go back to the tax rates we were paying under Bill Clinton.”

“This is not just my opinion,” he said later. “The American people are with me on this. Poll after poll shows this.”

"This would, of course, ignore all the other relevant factors, like the conservative efforts to destroy america..."

This little bit of fatuity earns you today's Billy Madison Award.

Paul Dirks,

"I was just referring to the fact that only recession remotely comparable to our current one took place in 1929."

The subject is not the recession, Dirks. The subject is the lack of recovery. Obama has lead the most anemic economic recovery on record. 41 straight months of 8% plus unemployment with U6 currently at 14.9%

Sooooo, does everyone want to why 3x is so scared about Romney being transparent? Wanna know why 3x is so terrified of the prospect that he's accusing Obama of having 'hit lists' and 'storm troopers'. What is 3x trying to cover-up? Because 3x is blowing a lot of smoke.

And where's there's smoke....

"It was reported that Mitt Romney has taken pretty extraordinary

steps to hide the fact that he has a shell corporation in Bermuda,"

Gibbs explained during a panel with Senor on MSNBC. "We know as a result

of good investigating reporting that he's had a bank account in

Switzerland and he's got investments in the Caymans."

"Is somebody who has sheltered their income taxes in Switzerland and

the Caymans and Bermuda really somebody who's going to get under the

hood and get us to a place of tax fairness?" he wondered. "We need to

know why he's got that money there. The American people deserve to know

if he's sheltering this money somewhere or, quite frankly, is not paying

the taxes that he owes. And the only way to do that, quite honestly, is

to release more tax returns and show the American people."

Senor responded that Gibbs' assertion was "stunningly dishonest."

"There's nothing secretive about these accounts," Senor said. "The

reason we know about these accounts is because they are in the tax

returns Mitt Romney released and they were in the federal disclosure

form that Mitt Romney -- financial disclosure form that Mitt Romney

submitted. ... Are you suggesting that Mitt Romney is guilty of some

kind of felony here?"

"Dan, what I'm suggesting is nobody has any idea because the only

person with the tax returns is Mitt Romney," Gibbs explained. "Let's

understand that the day before Mitt Romney became governor of

Massachusetts, he transferred the ownership of this shell corporation in

Bermuda to his wife in order to not have to disclose it. The day before

he came governor of Massachusetts! The notion that Mitt Romney has been

transparent about the fact that he has offshored money all over this

world is patently ridiculous, OK?"

Gibbs added: "But look, Dan, I don't know if he's paid money. I don't

know if he's getting a tax break. I don't know if he's sheltering

money. He gave 23 years of tax returns to John McCain's vetting

committee when he wanted to be vice president of the United States. That

vetting committee picked Sarah Palin and not Mitt Romney. Did they do

that because something they saw in 23 years of tax returns? Why give

John McCain 23 years of tax returns and give the American people 2 years

of tax returns?"

And that's what 3x is so afraid of. The truth.

"You know what terrifies me?Links to WingNutDaily.   I sure hope you don't start posting more of those!"

Sure thing, sport. Here's something more your speed.

To anyone who's been here more than five minutes, this will come as no surprise.

The Daily Caller, for instance, wrote three articles about my

shift, topping it off with an opinion piece in which they stated that I

deserved criticism because I wear “thick-rimmed glasses” and I like

Ludwig Wittgenstein. Why don’t they just call me “four-eyes”? These are

not adults leveling serious criticism; these are scorned right-wingers

showing all the maturity of a little boy. No wonder I fit in so well

when I was 13.

Pretty much pegs paulie and 3x to a tee, doesn't it?

"The Joint Economic Committee (JEC), spearheaded by Texas congressman Kevin Brady, put out a report saying that the Obama recovery now ranks dead last in modern times. That’s a real milestone in the post-WWII era. It’s ten out of ten for both jobs and economic growth. According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, real GDP has expanded only 6.7 percent over the eleven-quarter recovery since the recession ended. The Reagan recovery at the same

stage had increased by 17.6 percent. The Clinton recovery by 8.7 percent.

As for jobs, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the number of private-sector jobs has grown by only 4.1 percent since the cyclical low point. Reagan’s record was 10.7 percent."

Could anyone possibly be more of a hack than Mark Halperin?

He writes an entire post dismissing questions about Rmoney's offshore accounts and tax returns by comparing them to the Swiftboat attacks on John Kerry.

Then he claims in a parenthetical aside at the end that this is not what he meant to do.

"So we are talking about BO's EFFECTIVENESS."

Than we are taking about a nullity.

"- It's about  keeping America competitive."

Sure is! Vote Republican not neo-Marxist.

ROMNEY 2012

You can't say that they didn't warn you.

House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D., Md.) said Monday he would support tax increases on those who earn less than $250,000 at some point in the future.“The president initially has it about right, at the ($250,000 level),” Hoyer said, following a speech at the Center for American Progress. “But I would be prepared to go lower at some time in the future than that.”“Our economy is still struggling and I think going lower than that would have adverse impact on the economy,” Hoyer added. “I don’t think going higher than that will have an adverse impact.”

There is nothing that a Democrat desires more than higher taxes on every one of you.

"GOP unnerved by Democrats' candid camera techniques"

Saul Alinksy would be proud. Rules for Radicals

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.  In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...     "...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...'

jmac, that would be great. Lost in all the hoopla about Roberts' decision is the possibility that Roberts may see a danger to the republican party of going too far to the right and he just wants to put the brakes on.

DISQUS again.

"America Has Too Many Teachers

Public-school employees have doubled in 40 years while student enrollment has increased by only 8.5%—and academic results have stagnated."

So, why is Obama touting the need for hiring more teachers? It would appear that we just need better teachers.

Barry's still paying off those union bosses for putting him in office.

MomentoMori, I would never be so cruel as to ask for substantiation. Maybe I would. I can be a real jerk sometimes.

OT, but I've been on a real streak on scratch-ffs the past week. I took some of the money and bought a bunch of 3D blu-ray movies. My wife isn't impressed by almost anything, but we watched Thor last night when I got home and she must have said "WOW" about a dozen times.

Damned DISQUS is playing roll the dice with my replys again today. Have I ever mentioned that I hate DISQUS?

"It's not helping the economy to pit the people who are the engine of the economy against the people who rely on that engine." *

Only that those at the top aren't 'the engine of the economy'. It's the consumption of the goods and services offered that are the engine, with cash as the fuel.

This twit is an overly-moneyed, self-important buffoon who thinks he's an engine when the reality is that he's a wannabe-driver.
