  • Romney is at 30% in the latest WSJ/NBC News poll. The next candidate who’s currently running is Herman Cain at 12% and then Ron Paul at 7%. (I’m excluding Palin and Rick Perry.) There are plenty of caveats that go with one early national poll, but it’s stunning nonetheless.
  • If a campaign is admitting their candidate had a bad debate, he had a really bad debate.
  • Winning is charismatic, not necessarily the other way around.
  • Medicaid cuts are on the table in debt ceiling talks.
  • Top Republicans aren’t amenable to a payroll tax cut extension because unemployment is high.
  • The states where high unemployment could hurt Obama.
  • What happens if (when) the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau opens in July without a director.
  • CIA and Senate sites hacked.
  • New York senate Republicans continue to debate as gay marriage hangs one vote from passage.
  • And campaigning for President is super awkward.
