Jimmy McMillan, Candidate For NY Governor, Doesn’t Take The Gloves Off

Jimmy McMillan, who is running for Governor of New York on the Rent Is Too Damn High Party ticket, kind of stole the show at last night’s debate, and not least because he was seated between the two people who actually have a shot of winning, Andrew Cuomo and Carl Paladino. Some highlights:

It’s a wonder that TLC has not yet signed him to a reality show.

Obama’s Persuasive Powers on Gay Marriage Manifest in Maryland

When President Obama endorsed gay marriage earlier this month, the media grappled with two basic political questions: Was his personal “evolution” a case of  a politician transparently following a national trend toward accepting same-sex unions (accelerated, perhaps, by his chatty number two), and would it hurt his re-election chances by alienating socially conservative voters like black churchgoers? Sure, there was a recognition that it marked a gratifying moment for gay marriage advocates—as well as some grumbling about the President’s view that it remains a state issue, not a federal one. But by and large, there were few suggestions that one man, even the President, would shift public opinion on the issue or affect public policy. Based on a new Public Policy Polling survey out of Maryland, it seems this possibility was underestimated.

    Cherokee Zero

Apparently, Massachusetts voters don’t mind that Elizabeth Warren foolishly identified herself as a Native American early in her academic career–it was, apparently, a case of family pride and wishful thinking about a Cherokee ancestor. That’s good. Warren may be the best public figure when it comes to explaining the depredations of the financial industry and [...]

The Rent Is Too Damned High Party sounds funny and certainly amused me when I first showed up in New York but a little research into one of their Mayoral candidates from earlier in the decade revealed that the man thinks the rent is too damned high because of… Jews.

A pity. The rent actually is too damned high and our local government does nothing about it. But these people are dangerous crackpots.

Is it true that Paladino wanted the debate to include the full range of candidates, crackpots and all?
    .
If so, why? Why wouldn’t he want more time to try and show voters that he’s not as insane as he’s seemed lately?
    .
Or did he want to show them what real crazy looks like?

I now pronounce you Chuck and Nike.

do all your articles include a bias to people who aren’t multimillion-billionaire ceos and lawyers?

finally a real man of We, the People steps forth to challenge the elitist snobs who don’t care what the people want or need and you say he should get his own reality show?

time should gets own reality show, they can call it, “bias, fascism, rich elitism and how time embraces it and tarnish all others who can actually think freely”.

yea, go sip your wines and nibble on your exotic cheeses made from rat milks and step aside for real un-opinionated, un-biased journalism.

Oh, wait, now that I think about it…

Paladino has a chance of winning? Are you serious?

Can the “Get Off My Lawn” Party be far behind?

I thought we had that election two years ago.

    This guy, is a joke.
    But I love him.
So much, in fact, I’ve convinced my family to vote for him.
He’s crazy, but he uses common sense and applies it to Politics. Something that could happen more often.
    Not too mention…
The rent is too DAMN high!

Although, I’m not sure about the gloves. Agent Orange? Ha! He’s not wearing them, in this interview, he just has them:
    http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/rent-is-too-damn-high-sensation/64uiy9b

If you ask me, it’s just another interesting thing to add to the guy’s appeal. People pay attention to an old, half crazed, diseased, black Vietnam War Vet, if you haven’t noticed.

Cuomo’s the same old, same old, boring and by-the-book politician, Paladino is a bit too mad, and my philosophy is “Once a prostitute, always a prostitute,” which eliminates the only female candidate.

So why not vote for Jimmy McMillan?

  • jdedrick13

    Not anymore.
    “I’ll take you out.”

  • jdedrick13

I believe it was more of Cuomo’s idea.
If it was JUST Cuomo vs Paladino, Cuomo would have been forced to say things more specific than his usual ‘I want to help NY’ or ‘I’m planning on cutting taxes.’

He has a far enough lead that he doesn’t have to say much. In fact, saying something could loose him votes. Saying HOW he’s going to cut taxes could displease a number of people, valuable votes.
    Why risk it, right?

    I’m mad too, Carl!
