Obama’s Big Day

From a White House official:

The President made a surprise appearance at an 11:00am meeting of senior staff.

He’s in the West Wing, getting updates, dropping in on staff, and like the rest of America, examining the rubble of his bracket.

He’s preparing to make and take member phone calls as we move toward the vote.

Mother of Mitt: How Lenore Romney’s Failed Campaign Shaped the Presumptive Republican Nominee

This week’s TIME cover story, “The Mother of the Mitt Campaign,” tells the tale of how Lenore Romney’s 1970 run for U.S. Senate may have made a bigger impression on the Republican presidential candidate than his years spent as the son of a governor. Mitt’s father lost his own presidential bid, but it was the lessons from his mother’s loss that are more instructive as Romney enters the campaign stretch.

Stupak just flipped to yes. It is over.

My worry is that he was promised women in chastity belts and scarlet letters in return.

Likely just an executive order stating what we all knew already — there will be no federal funding for abortions.

It’s like he held his breath demanding an executive order announcing that the American capital would be Washington, D.C.

CNN is contradicting MSNBC. Stupak now says he is still a no for the time being.

He is going to start hanging out with Lieberman, McCain, and Lindsay Graham. The media can’t ignore him then.

Unlike the President, I’ve stopped examining the rubble of my bracket.

Karen: I know I am not the only person having trouble commenting the last couple of days. Others have mentioned it. On most posts you are told to log in. When you do it continues to tell you to log on. It is not accepted,
Just now I came to the site to see what had been posted lately. The site brought up the posts then removed everything but Swampland reporters bios. I went into the bio and clicked on your latest post. It brought me to the post and let me comment.
    What is going on?
If this is a problem your IT is working on, it would be nice if they posted something on Swamland to let us know.
I am having serious “comment” withdrawl.

Karen: Right after I posted #5 I checked and could make comments on other threats. Either you are a sorceress or by coincidence the problem was fixed.
Please, anyone else who had problems please respond. At my age, I like confirmation that I am not going crazy. Thanks.

Well KT, scratch comment 6. Right now this is the only post I can comment on and that is by going through your bio. I had tried to comment on Amy’s last post again, would not accept log on, and no luck going through her bio. Hey if this is a liberal media conspiracy please note I am a liberal. Or is Glen Beck lurking in your IT department?
Please see that this gets fixed. Thanks.
