The release of journalist Roxana Saberi from an Iranian prison is definitely a positive development–for her and her family, obviously, but also, as Joe points out, for the information it gives us about divided factions within the Iranian government. 

Meanwhile in North Korea, journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling remain behind bars awaiting “trial for hostile acts.” They haven’t been allowed contact with Western diplomats since March 30. And the Wall Street Journal reported today that there has been no progress in obtaining their release because “North Korea isn’t talking to the U.S. at all.” Sigh.
