Please, do us all a favor & follow that “lead.” Blago’s corruption was, admittedly, newsworthy, but of course we find it a little arresting, the imbalance between coverage of his case vs. say lying to the nation about WMD or Halliburton or violation/rape of the constitution over the course of 2 Bush terms. Compared to that record, Blago is Larry Craig (or Sam Adams).

Blago has been convicted of no crimes ( yet ) and was only allowed to speak ( plead ) with his state’s legislature to not impeach him based on edited tapes and hear-say evidence. He may well be a crook, or a kook, but that hardly sounds like a just process. The impeachment of Blago only furthers the appearance of an unruly, irresponsible and corrupt state.
