Obama’s Car: Only $1 million!

For anyone who’s a HUGE (and wealthy) Barack Obama fan — like verging on psycho stalker Obama fan –act now and you can get his Chrysler 300c for the bargain basement price of $1 million on ebay. If you’re less of a stalker — or just not as filthy rich — you can also start the bidding at $100,000.

From a press release promoting the sale:

(MMD Newswire) January 14, 2009 — The owner of a 2005
Chrysler 300c became aware that Barack Obama was the
previous driver of his vehicle. A website has been created….
www.obamas300c.com and the car has been placed on eBay.
The opening bid starts at $100,000 with a buy it now price of
$1,000,000. The 300 c is loaded with leather, sunroof, navigation,
chrome wheels, and a HEMI.

According to the website, in July 2004, Barack Obama took
delivery of this 2005 Chrysler 300c from Park Plaza Dodge in
Forest Park, Illinois. In 2007, Obama swapped his Chrysler
sedan for a Ford Escape Hybrid at Hawk Ford in Oak Lawn, IL.
Hawk Ford then transfered the 300C back to Park Plaza Dodge.
Finally in February 08, the current owner purchased the 300C
from them.

The car was previously listed on eBay in December 2008.
There was a bidding war, and with about three days left, the top
bid was a little above $125,000.  However, the owner canceled
the auction due to short term capital gain tax  issues.

The owner intends to donate a portion of the proceeds to
various charities.

    I saw Rice play his last minor game in Bristol CT before he and Fred both went to Beanburgh.

    Too bad that the WTMZ press in Boston kept trying to rake the Yaz and Williams coals over him, for the duration.

    He would have made a happy Yankee, of course.

    A good guy, on a mediocre team.

    Andy – Jim Rice looked 30 years younger yesterday – a grin from ear to ear. He’d been a trooper for so long, insisting that it didn’t matter to him.

    Also very happy about both Smoltz and Penny. Would much rather have both for a year than the Sabbathia and Burnett signings.

    Also – I really do in fact have a photograph signed by Yaz. He financed his car at a bank where my mother worked in the loan department. Dear sweet mom had him sign it to “Kathleen,” but I’ve gotten over that.

    I’m sure most MSM reporters – including all those here – would love to be able to buy the car, but they don’t have the talent to have sold themselves out for enough money to buy it. Leave it to those few MSM reporters who are talented enough to have sold themselves out for the big bucks.
