Waxman Wins the First Round

The House Democratic leadership’s Steering and Policy Committee has narrowly backed California Congressman Henry Waxman in his bid to oust John Dingell as chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has an extraordinarily wide swath of turf over energy, environmental and health legislation. But don’t count Dingell out, when the full caucus votes tomorrow.
