In her story about the State of the Union address in today’s New York Times, Sheryl Stolberg compares President Bush to how he looked when he gave his first State of the Union address in 2001: “Mr. Bush is grayer now than he was then, reflecting the strain of his time in office.” To Alessandra Stanley, writing for the same paper, it looked this way: “Mr. Bush, looking fresh and rested, made a point of sounding good-humored as he delivered less-than-glowing news.”
