I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth:

Mitt Romney’s eyes filled with tears today as the Republican presidential contender recalled watching the casket of a soldier killed in Iraq return to the United States and imagined if it were one of his five sons.

Some candidates — Biden, McCain, and Hunter — don’t have Romney’s vivid imagination and are (or was, in Hunter’s case) left simply to actually worry about their actual sons who are, you know, actually serving their country. (UPDATE: Hell, what am I saying? Sure, those candidates know — in real terms — what it’s like to live with the possibility of their sons coming home in a casket, but they’re just a few of the millions of Americans who have a family member fighting in this ceaseless, exhausting, and daunting war… and who live with that same fear. If he has any decency, Romney should be ashamed. If he has any courage, he should apologize.)

I think now’s a good time to replay this:
