Phony Soldiers

Where to begin on Rush Limbaugh’s latest depravity? Well, you can say that he’s got the authority, given his long illustrious combat record, to criticize the courage and patriotism of U.S. troops in the field…except, well, wait a minute. He doesn’t have a combat record.

Or you could remind that specious windbag that two of the seven soldiers who signed the New York Times op ed lost their lives in Iraq…and a third suffered a serious brain injury.

But that would assume the man has shame. He doesn’t. It is useful, however, to have these occasional Rushian effusions…a constant reminder of just how dreadfully ill-informed and profoundly unAmerican the boy is.
