A Belated Greeting to Mr. Neas!

Some hostess I am, swanning in to introduce the guest of honor after he’s already settled in with a drink and appetizers. As attentive Swamplands readers have noticed by now, Ralph Neas is guestblogging for us this week, filling in some gaps while Karen takes a week off. Mr. Neas is the president of People for the American Way, a civil rights action and education group with a long history here in Washington and elsewhere. They’re currently advocating a hate crime law and a special prosecutor to investigate White House violations of the Constitution; they’re against the line item veto and paperless voting.

We welcome Mr. Neas to the party.

Feel free to continue to nominate future guest bloggers in the comments section.

The Fact Checking Fun House: Crossroads GPS vs. Team Obama

Have you seen the latest Crossroads GPS fact check of the Obama Campaign fact check of a Crossroads GPS ad that relies on a fact check by Politifact, but fails to point out that Politifact called the same ad “mostly false”?

No? Well, then. You have come to the right place. Though we must caution: If you continue reading this post, you do so at significant risk your own faith in the American Democratic process.
