AFSCME Candidate Forum

Uh-oh… Someone let Chris Matthews moderate a debate again. And you know what that means: Questions about how candidates smell.

Sorry, that’s the Republicans. He’s doing the Dems. So you know what that means: Questions about whether or not Bill Clinton is tomcatting around.

Actually, he’s keeping really close to the union theme though he’s thrown some war stuff in too. Hillary just finished up and was judged to be “already acting like the Commander-in-Chief” by Howard Fineman though too hawkish for the base. (She did say she’d start bringing home troops now, but she also talked about a “residual force.”) Edwards is up now and seems to be feeling the crowd love. Feel free to comment in the thread.

UPDATE: MSNBC doesn’t have a central static page for the debate, but there’s some coverage here.

The Fact Checking Fun House: Crossroads GPS vs. Team Obama

Have you seen the latest Crossroads GPS fact check of the Obama Campaign fact check of a Crossroads GPS ad that relies on a fact check by Politifact, but fails to point out that Politifact called the same ad “mostly false”?

No? Well, then. You have come to the right place. Though we must caution: If you continue reading this post, you do so at significant risk your own faith in the American Democratic process.
