Not completely unrelated, and speaking to Jay’s point about the apparent arbitrariness of generational markers: Has anyone else seen the AARP ad featuring the Buzzcocks’ “Everybody’s Happy Nowadays”? If nothing else, it bodes well for this season’s choices in campaign theme songs.
